the 18th century records are relatively easy though lib assed is somewhat untidy for some volumes - I'd suggest looking first at the 1704 composition book as this gives an excellent snaspshot of who owned what in 1704(approx) + also who compounded in 1643(ie basically the then owner) - post 1706 the lib assed is in a relatively few books - lib vast (for lords rent properties) gives the changes.
Pre 1704 the lib assed are generally every year or so, the hand less familiar as you work back - two reasonably neat ones are 1639 + 1696 - others are sometimes very scruffy - deeds (eg marr contracts bills of sale etc) are not always available (some are in Lib canc others scattered across other records), lib vast much untidier - the key is to follow rents remembering that qtrland rents double after act of settlement + that intacks were regrouped post 1704 tho often giving old rents
