I'm trying to keep to recorded facts - at present I can find no link between the ann caine als corlett and the family of Oristal Caines. Patrick was quite a common name for a Caine.

In the several previous threads it was strongly suggested that there was a better researched Irish Patrick Caine who seems to fit the revolutionary war period quite well - have you any hard evidence linking a Manx born Caine to your putative tree - if so what date do you have and what is evidence other than the as yet unfound bible that could possibly date from mid19th Century or later.
