Constance Radcliffe invited me to afternoon tea when I was in the IOM many years ago, and it was a great pleasure to meet her. I found people in the IOM were so hospitable and helpful, and my Corkill cousin who still lives in Maughold drove me around to investigate graveyards and family farms. Noreen Cottier made sure I saw every possible family history source and even opened the FHS Library especially for me, as well as showing me other parts of the island, driving (very fast!) in her little car. Lovely memories.
