* This must be her SON James - i.e. "margt killey's.......sisters joney + jane" are grandchildren of the testator
Interpretation [JRL] - Margaret Killey als Waterson [?widowed?] had 3 extant children in 1761:-
1] Son James b.bef1719-82 + wife Joney als Freer 1720?-84 - [md 1753-08-04 Lon] with 3 daughters - Margt, Joney & Jane
2] Daughter Joney 1719-99 + husband Thomas Kermod d.1784 [m.1745-02-23 Lon]- probably childless
3] Daughter Margaret b.1721 [md Wm Kermod 1738-12-05 Lon - he d.1753]+7 children inc William and Thos Kermott; same daughter Margaret md David Mylroi [1755-11-04 Lon] - ch inc Mgt b.1759
Your query re William Kelly - first thoughts were "possible Kelly-Kelley-Killey mix-up". The Skillicorn connection eludes me however. Also looks like Wm KELLY md Eleanor Cannon 1740 Lonan [although she was given as "Kelley" in the burial reg. 1752] A Will of a Jane Killey d.1737 is possibly relevant:
Lonan 1737-2 A 38 CORLETT Jane KILLEY [bur Lon 17371209] d 8 dec 1737;only dau jane ua; sons wm,john, james;husb wm exor;niece isabel clague*;maidserv ellinr cashen;bro john killey (her pt of the howe);ch uncles JAMES and WM KILLEY overseers [my caps]. A Jane Killey md.Wm Curlett 1734 Onchan and a dau Jane was bpt 1736 Lon so the sons were probably from a previous marriage?? [see next will]. 1720-3 Ed KILLEY John [bur Lon 17201226]d 25 dec 1720;7 ch john, philip,wm,james, ann, mary + jane; some ua [Jane given as u/a in full will - online];wife alve;1735 jane corlet als killey acks for 17/9;- i.e she was "of age" - 18 yrs??
* baptd 1736-11-28 Lon d/o John Clague & Elinor KEWLEY???. - so do we add Kewley to the Kelly/Kelley/Killey mix! - but no Eleanor d/o John Killey?
It seems possible that the James Killey named in Jane als Corlett's Will [her brother] was the one who md. Margt Waterson but that is pure speculation! I am particularly interested because James Killey / Mgt Waterson are my 6xgt grandparents via dau Mgt/Wm Kermott - Joney Kermott/Robert Lawson.

Sorry if this only adds more confusion!
also please note - if you use the "less than" sign instead of "bef" in e.g. "bef 1718" the preview [and presumably the posted doc] will not accept it - the text following just disappears.
