Just to let you know, I was the one looking for Charlotte for such a long time (years), but thanks to Sue and David, we have found her at last. Charlotte is my paternal gg-grandmother. She married Richard Matchett, born 1802 in Ireland, Charlotte married Richard in Liverpool in
1830 in St. Peters Church.
Their children were all born in Liverpool. Their eldest son, Richard, born in 1833 in Liverpool, married Letitia Toes from Tartaragh, Armagh, ( sorry I don't have all my notes in front of me), and they were married in 1854 in Ireland. I am having an awful. time trying to find anything whatsoever about Letitia Toes, other than her father's name was Richard, also born in Ireland in Armagh I think.
My paternal grandfather, James Matchett, born in 1875 was Richard and Letitia's youngest son. Richard died shortly after James' birth (months). James Matchett was the great "Professor J.O. Matchett" as he called himself. He was a great long distance swimmer and championship high diver and stunt diver, diving off the high piers into the sea. He was the winner of over 1000medals. I have a photo of an old poster of "Professor J.O. Matchett" and an old Liverpool Echo newspaper article about James' incredible swimming feats. He was also a champion water polo player and long distance runner. The newspaper termed James as a "Swimming Giant".
