I have got some info about Nelson Kennah when he moved to Liverpool.
He married Ellen Corkhill in Liverpool in 1844. Daughter Leah was born in 1847 in Liverpool. 3 yrs later a son John was born. I think they may have also had another daughter Margaret Ellen 1845-1847. John married Margaret Harrison in Toxteth Park Liverpool in 1874.
Leah married my grea tx2 grandad George Dawson in Liverpool in 1869. George is recorded as single but I think he may have been a widower. They then moved to Sheffield where George was originally from. They had several children Sara (1872 Eliza (1873 ) George (1875 Alice (1876) Thomas (1877)
Also children who passed away very young and are buried with Leah Charles age 4 - buried March 16th 1884. Nelson age 4mths - buried on Dec 18th 1878. William age 3 days - buried on June 16th 1870.
Leah died at home in Sheffield in April 1885. Sadly George died in the Sheffield Union workhouse age 48yrs . He was buried on Sept. 9th 1885 He is in grave no. 6 sect. P6 Burngreave cemetery. Sheffield and shares the grave with many other workhouse residents.
