I still use that public footpath down there, walk into Pulrose and along the path through to Old Castletown Road. The cannons are still there, although they don't face towards you now. As a child I used to be scared going past in case one was fired. There is no river now because they separated it half way through, so the big river now goes right down to harbour and the other one was stopped. The pathway has not been cleaned for years. It's a shame because it was a delight to walk through.
