What we don't know though, is the year that John Henry Cain was born. Am I right in thinking that the only censuses we have definite entries for him are:

1901 --- age 39

1911 --- age 45

and burial Jan 1924 --- age 59

If the 1901 age isn't overstated, and if he subsequently understated his age to his family, I'd go for a birth year of 1861/2. He might even be a baby in the 1861 census ?
