Thanks for the information, I had found details of John Clucas marrying Elizabeth Wookey in 1846, Liverpool but hadn't yet ordered the certificate to confirm it was Martha's parents.

You can also find a John Clucas living in Castletown on the 1841 Census, parents John and Catherine, which could be our man as one of Martha's sisters is also called Catherine. Additionally he can be found on the 1881 Census with one of his grand-daughters (Ada Mabel) and on the 1891 Census living with another of his daughters in Onchan.

Martha can be found on the 1871 and 1891 Bradford / Liverpool Census as Martha Longbottom but is shown as Martha Cross by mistake on the 1881 Bradford Census (she was living with John Cross who was my great-grandfather's half-brother).
