Hi Sandra thank you for your response. The only firm bit of evidence I have is the birth certificate of Richard William Clucas and Amelia Clucas (formaly Hawkins) daugter called Mona: she was my Grandmother .
As you have seen on the 1901 Census he was down as William Richard Clucas lodging with Amelia F Hawkins in Liverpool. I just can't seem to find a marrage certificate for them.
I have a William Clucas aged 18 on the 1881 Census living in 2 Barrack street Onchan with Mother Elizabeth, Thomas Father , and 3 siblings, nothing confirmed. So any further light you can throw on the matter WILL BE gratefully received.
