look at manxnotebook - I'm afraid too many, esp IGI posters are unaware that the Julian Calendar lasted until 1752 and give out misinformation - basically you cannot 100% trust the written year of any day between Jan and end of March unless the original hand (and watch out for later amendments here) indicated eg 1731/2 - working from the sequence of entries in say a baptismal/burial reg is the only way to be reasonably sure
