Re: For Eric Gelling Skillicorn Kermode

Lois/Eric
Not clear from your note if the 1816 Will your refer to is for Margaret Kermode and/or if you have a copy. So happens that I am in the process of trying to obtain/transcript Kermode-Lonan wills and just this week did the Margaret Kermode will #1, 1816; LDS Film 0106418. I will be submitting it for posting shortly but meanwhile if it helps in summary: No als given but children/heirs include: sons Thomas and John; daughters; Jody/Judy, Jane and Margaret.

I'm in the process of trying to delineate my Kermode line which seems to link with the William Kermott in your note. While some further proofing is needed, what I have, for a main "root" so far is: James Kermott and Joney Clague (m. 1718) with children Danil (bapt. 27 Aug 181; brother of "your" William?]. Daniel (bapt. 1719) married Ann Skillicorn 1749: Children James (bapt. 27 Aug 1751) and Jane (referred to in Ann's 1879 Will).

I have Ann (Skillicorn) Kermode's death in 1755 (your transcribed will) and Daniel re-marrying 1 August 1756 to Catharine Clague, with several children, including Daniel Kermode (bapt 14 Oct 1759; died 1801). Daniel (bapt 1719) married Margaret Quark on 5 Dec. 1786; their children included a son Daniel, bapt. 1792. This Daniel (my ggfather) married Margaret Killip in 1823 (children Ann and William) and was re-married to Eleanor Kermode in 1836. In his will (1873) Daniel refers to properties being purchased from Phillip/Isabella Skillicorn and Charles/Elizabeth Skillicorn in 1828 and from Patrick Killip and Isbella Killip in 1848.

I wonder if you have any information on the fate of Ann Skillicorn's children (James and Jane) and whether I am correct regarding Daniel Kermode's marriage to Catharine Clague? This would help in confirming the line I am developing.
Thanks
Wayne
