From the deed in the previous post, it seems likely that Philip Skillicorn and Charles Skillicorn are siblings. Can anyone identify their parents?
Philip Skillicorn was born about 1771, and buried at Lonan, November 19, 1846, age 75. He married, at Lonan, May 19, 1810, Isabella Callister. She was born about 1773, and is probably the daughter of Philip Callister, baptized at Lonan, June 13, 1773. Isabella Skillicorn died at Lonan, March 24, 1834 (sic) age 59, and was buried there, March 27, 1832.
1841 (June 6-7) census Lonan (Laxey, p. 23): Philip Skillicorn 70, laborer; Thomas 25; James 20; Christian 20; Ann 1 1/2; Thomas 5 mo. (Thomas Skillicorn and his wife Christian Killey).
Charles Skillicorn (I think son of Thomas Skillicorn/Isabel Callow, baptized October 24, 1773), uried at Lonan, June 1, 1862, age 87. He married, August 11, 1821, Elizabeth Corlett. Charles Skillicorn lived at Ballacaley, Lezayre. Next of kin, named in his will, John Killey, James Killey, and Thomas Skillicorn, all of Lonan.
My problem is that, while Thomas and Isabella Callow do have a son Philip (“son of Thomas of Reby” was baptized September 17, 1769"), I had "given" him a diffferent wife.
Any help is much appreciated.
