Hello Peter I can tell you little more than is in the thread. I only ever met Eveline when living in the next street she presumably rented or bought the house during WW2 when the Gov. will have taken
all the houses in her terrace in Peel to make an enclosed Prison camp for foreign internees & political prisoners [ seven days notice I suspect] As I have explained she did indeed marry 2 Clarkes I
suspect her 1st probably died of TB. As I mentioned despite laws on consanguinity having changed some of the Corletts used to hiss behind her back that she had married her dead husband's brother ,
perfectly legal by then. I did meet Will for tea once I have already posted about his success in the shipping world in London. He had two daughters one named Fenella * .Eveline was supported her
by a Clark niece whose married name was Teare. & had two daughters. Tragically the husband had died tragically young & suddenly while on holiday in London possibly staying with Will. I did visit
Eveline in a Nursing Home at Ramsey[ Chronk Ruagh ] in the 70's a few times but when she died I did not discover this news until later, was not invited to funeral. Will of course may not have known I
was visiting. In Peel I did explore & found the boarding houses as directed by Frances.Eveline lived here all her life I'm sure.
PS The other sister was called Verity.
