Thanks for the clarification. It is certainly tricky with two Cecil Christians born the same year in Foxdale/Patrick, one two years after his father is recorded in a public record as deceased (so father not known), and the other whose parents both died the year he was born and it is not yet known (on this BB) who looked after him.
And it doesn't help that both had mothers with husbands William Christian and lived in the same parish in the IOM!

The one who came to Australia must be one of them IF his place of birth was given as IOM. If so, and as his name was given as Cecil Arnold he looks like the son of Susanna Corrin, EXCEPT at his death his mother is given in the index as "Margarite Caine" So she could be your Margaret with a new married name. And the Thomas could be Cecil's unknown father (or a guess by whoever provided the details).

Quite a mystery!

Would you please give the full details from the headstone? Is it in the IOM?
