Thanks Sue. I think it was Donna that suggested at some point that the two William Christian's might be cousins... Not sure what she based that on. But if true, it might explain a few things.
I still suspect that there was only ever one Cecil Christian, BL's Birth Index certainly only shows one for 1895.
Add to that the general confusion that can arise from Foxdale being largely in Patrick, but outlying bits being in Malew etc. people start to make mistakes.
I don't know if I can prove that "my" Cecil was brought up by Margaret, I somehow doubt that I can, but "my" Cecil being only about 5 months old, would have to be taken in by someone, somewhere, and possibly by someone who could provide breast milk... I'm guessing that formula milk would either not be available or would be too expensive in 1895.
I will try and work out where all the children of "my" William ended up, and let you know.
