That is fascinating - thank you so much for looking up Ruby's birth for Reg. And also very interesting that the "Rico" was accurate as her second name - so she was named after the place of death of her father!
Part of the MI which Reg posted read "WILLIAM CHRISTIAN / son of the above / who died at Rico, Colorado June 6th 1892 / aged 37 years /".
He is trying to find out how he died.

As I wrote to Reg before, it looks as though William went on ahead of his family to the USA, perhaps waiting for the baby to be born or until he had settled somewhere, before they joined him.
