Hi Jean,
I have the birth certs for Leo James, and Ethel. Both state mother as Lillian Teer nee Taylor. I haven't found dau. Lillian ( married as Dorothy Lillian) or Frank's. My FIL stated that no certificate could be found for him ( he had employed someone to research).
In 1911 census, which William wrote himself, he writes Elizabeth Ann as the wife. Lillian, Leo and Frank are with them. We found Ethel, in 1911, with her Aunt Mary Eleanor Green ( nee Taylor).
My FIL had said in his notes, that Lillian ( Elizabeth Ann was a " ? Elizabeth Schofield Taylor". At first I thought it was a Hyphenated name. From 1911 census I started looking for Mary Eleanor Taylor and found the family in 71 census. Father James Taylor, Mother Mary J, Mary E, Elizabeth A S, and James. Following through subsequent census's, 81, has them all again, but James is Jams SPD, and two more daus. Florence and Fanny. 91 census Mary E, and Elizabeth A are missing. Elizabeth is with William and married. Mary E is missing presumably with her mother somewhere ( as 1911 census has a son Frank listed with her. So I assume she was pregnant, and mum was helping out). 1901 census for the taylors has James Taylor, widow, Florence, and another son John Schofield Taylor. So I am pretty sure I have the right family.
1911 census states william and Elizabeth Ann married 21 yrs, 4 children born, 4 still living and 0 who have died. William is a Joiner.
I cannot find a marriage anywhere.
