Re: Isabella Kelly als Kermode
In Response To: Isabella Kelly als Kermode ()

William Taggart & Isabella Kelly married 26 May 1825 Braddan [IGI extracted record].

There are several Isabella Kellys bapt in Douglas/Braddan who would "fit" the census ages for her given in my last message. Did she emigrate to Australia? If so, her death cert should give parents? Which state?

James Kelly & Isabel Kermod did have sons not mentioned in her will, according to the IGI (who might have predeceased her): James bapt 28 Oct 1787 Braddan, and William bapt 25 Mar 1781 Braddan, who could have been Isabella Taggart's father.

Isabella Kelly bapts:
12 April 1801 Braddan daur of Wm Kelly & Jane Creer
12 Feb 1804 Braddan daur of Wm Kelly & Eleanor Kenneen

There is a Lonan bapt 8 Aug.1802, daur of James, but I think that one is unlikely.

There was also an Isabel Kelly bapt 26 May 1799 Braddan daur of Robt Kelly & Isabel LEWNEY who looks like a possibility, along with the 1801 daur of Wm.
This couple did have a daur Margaret (b.1807). There was a Margaret mentioned in grandmother's will as daur of her son Robt, but I can't see daurs Mary Ann and Eliza, also mentioned in the will. Also, as she had mentioned daughters of her son Robert for those three grandchildren, why didn't she also have Isabella as daughter of her son Robert, if he was her father?

It looks as though she was more likely to have been a daur of an unmentioned (deceased?) son - perhaps William, above.
