I would not place 100% reliance on the non-appearance of widower (if it appears it is correct but its absence does not necessarily imply a bachelor) - I've noticed several vicars were lax in this respect (some parishes for example never seem to see any 2nd marriages whereas others in the same period have several) - the parish indication as the 18th century went on tended to mean place of residence not of birth - this seems particularly true of Braddan which was probably the busiest and I doubt if the vicar knew the rapidly increasing population as well as say in the more rural parishes
