hi ralph what i found really interesting was your reply about going down to the vancouver archives, george sayle born in 1880 to claudius sayle and eleanor of shore road went to sea and at some time in early 1900s jumped ship and i have his papers from canada showing him signing up for the canadian expeditionary force on may 15th 1916 and he stayed in canada until 1958 then returned to the isle of man and died in 1962 he lived in steveston b c which is vancouver and if you see any info i would really appreciate knowing where and what he did after the war
