No hard evidence that I have seen - only what was written by Constance Radcliffe for my Corkill cousin, and by the Radcliffes in their History of Kirk Maughold which differs slightly from her charts. In their book they write about the two separate Corkill families living in Ballajora, one in the Staff Land and the other family entered in the Manorial Roll for Particle land. They said in the book that John of the Staff Land died in 1656 and William of the Particle was entered in 1643.

The first William and first John Corkill burials in the Maughold register were:
Wm CORKILL Senr Nov 2 1653
Jo: CORKILL Nov 29 1656
John CORKILL Feb 3 1656/57
There was Vxor CORKIL Ballajora Mar 19 1666
- Several other William and John burials before:
Joh: CORKILL ballajory Mar 13 1669.

Those were the first refs to Corkill and Ballajora in the register.
