I think I put everything on the board early on in the thread from the Radcliffes' book about the mortgage which John Corkill took on - remember they wrote that the arrangement was the only one of its kind they had seen? And that they thought it indicated his willingness to take responsibility for the place rather than being an actual money transaction?
They did write about the financial difficulties Ann Cassin's mother's family [Woods] had been in with Ballasloe (which I posted).
