I think I have an avenue that may be worth investigating about John Thomas Radcliffe's farm and its ownwership. I searched the Bristish newpapaer archive in the search for links between my father in laws 2 sets of grandparents and found an article in the Isle of Man Times and General Advertiser (8th December 1888) about a probate issue relating to Patrick's sister in law in the US. I think this sister in law was his ? second wife Eleanor Quayle's sister Margaret who married Thomas Cowell and moved to the US (New York).
