Constance (C.K.) Radcliffe was a social historian who wrote several books and articles, often with her husband Bill (J.W.) Radcliffe, mainly about the history and landowners in Maughold, Ramsey, and Bride. Bill's ancestors came from Croggane, which that quote was about.

The census entries came from Brian Lawson, and I haven't double-checked them so will do so today.

I'll quote the rest of the (small) section about Croggane so long as you are careful to include the full reference to the publication as well as the author?
