Re: For Sue: Corkills to Henry County, Illinois

Thanks- one last mystery...just wondering if anyone has heard of the name Merric as it relates to the Corkills?

We are carrying the name on into the 5th generation and the belief is that the name came from IOM. My great-grandfather was Merric John (son of John James bapt 1851) it is thought that Merric carried down from his father.
