Manx Sun 5 Apr 1862 - death Ellen Matilda Stephenson 30 Mar 1862 w/o J Steaphenson, chemist of Douglas
Manx Sun 11 Jun 1864 died lately on passage Calcutta to Liverpool, youngest son of John Stephenson Muckles gate aged 18
Manx Sun 8 Sep 1855 wedding at Braddan Weds last John Stephenson, chemist of Douglas to Mis Ellen Matilda Fielding, d/o Joseph Fielding, draper + grocer of Melbourne Australlia + formerly of Middleton Lancs
Manx Sun 7 Jun 1862 - John Stephenson, d 16 Feb 1862 after a long illness, one of the founders of Odd fellowship on the Island
Manx Sun 19 Oct 1867 - John Stephenson d 9 Oct 1867 at Overton Flintshire at home of son-in-law - for many years clerk of St Mathews Douglas age 68
Manx Sun 1 Aug 1863 - married at Braddan 31 Jul 1863 John Stevenson druggist, Douglas to Jane third daughter of Robert Gell, tailor, Strand Street

School log book Jurby - 1st vol 14 Aug 1880 discussion by school cottee re desireability of having a resident master - 28 Sep - 3 applications considered inc Jane Stephenson (later referred to as Mrs Stephenson - she was offered job
school reopened 11 Oct with her appointed

Ramsey weekly news 11 Jun 1898 Mr John J Stephenson son of Mr Stephenson Schoolhouse recently passed as master in Board of Trade examinations - same issue school board send letter of condoence to Mr Stephenson [his wife had died] and a new Master to be advertised

Ramsey Courier 13 Dec 1895 on sun 1 Dec birth dau to wife of John Stephenson a dau - not sure if son John ? or another Stephenson as a Wesleyan minister of that name in this period

think these may help - not sure the St Mathew's clerk is related but his dates would fit
