There is an emigration/travel offer on Ancestry for this week and I searched for a John James Kelly, it came back with one who arrived at New York on 30 Jul 1888 from the Isle of Man. This may well be my ancestor.
I note on Ancestry that you are from Montana, in your family history research do you have anyone on the Kelly side that settled in the USA?
