The reference numbers are already available, either on film or in the Registry. If you would add the lost ones from these sources it would be very useful.

Brian used the actual Registrar volumes up to 1901 (on film) to compile his index. The full birth records themselves are available on film only to that date. The later entries which he had started adding came only from the birth registration index, which is why there wasn't the same level of information.

I'm sorry, but I don't think it is at all helpful to add assumed parents' names from other sources. The censuses are widely available online and people can see these for themselves. If you want to add to Brian's work I think it is important to use only the official birth registration sources which are easily available to you in the IoM, and not to debase the index.
