Hello John. Please would you explain how you can “fill in the gaps” from the census and other sources into BL's registered births index? Either the births are registered or they are not. You could check registered births and add any Brian has missed, but how does the census supply birth dates? The whole point of the index was so that people could order birth certs from the registry giving accurate references for the registry staff.
