Mrs Rosa - I have done much extra work on Michael + Ballaugh since June 2010 - as I have said many times I made a mistake in assuming there was only one adam caine at that period - there were two, one was the Adam caine of Ballamenaugh (part of Fourtowns in Orrisdal) which is that bit of kk michael that sticks out into Ballaugh lying between Bishops demesne and the sea and is actually geographically nearer Ballaugh church than to kk Michael church - the second Adam was of Knockan (or the gill) later called Ravensdale which is on the other side of Bishops demesne - both had sons Patk who inherited lands - at that time in 2010 I was researching Michael parish and thought I had found Patk of orrisdal but I was WRONG - this I have said many times and said it on the board many months ago once I'd started to look at the couple of problems I raised in my first posting re burial parishes of children as they didn't quite stack up for a single family - thus I traced the Adam Caine of Ballaugh, the one involved in the riot and his line via the land records etc of ballaugh. The MB is usually a place people try to give + debate current research - I come from a scietific background, hypotheses are there to be tested - I think the work currently on line is ok though there are still some bits to be tidied up.
