I think I have more on Adam Caine - however you should have the lib vas for Michael on your cd - also I have done all Michael old deeds + all Michael marriage contracts + the complete map for Michael from Wood's atlas + transcription of the entries all on the CD (a taster which is actually Orristal is online). I'm currently working on Patrick (complicated as unlike Michael where all except Bishops demesne is Lords rent - Patrick has barony land.

There are several land holding cain families in 1704 (see composition book) that can be traced via the lib vas, lib assed + deeds - there are however other families in Bishop's demesne where you have to rely on wills (which as illustrated can be misinterpreted) + parish reg entries which are incomplete - one telltale sign for a Bishops demesne will is if they left the 'roof' of the house - the housewalls because they were fixed to the ground which belonged to the Bishop also belonged to the Bishop but the roof was personal property (and its removal would wreck the house) - the bishop appears to have let his tenants pass down their holdings as property rights.
