I'm glad you are still there. I wondered when you didn't answer my message which I posted on 12/3/2011,7:47am which you can see on this thread (below this message) about the IOM "Dick" family which you were asking about. You can put the name on the board now without a problem, as you have discovered.

This Ballajora family looked like the ancestors of all your Corkills. I put them all together as far as the IOM family was concerned in my message of 9/3/2011,7:34 am.

However I didn't know about the USA ones, so Carol looked into those ones to see the connections between them.
By the way, even though Constance Radcliffe gave examples of members of the family being in records with the identifying "Dick" added to their names, I didn't see Thomas Corkill (husband of Margaret Fargher) recorded anywhere as Thomas Dick Corkill, although he might have been known as that in conversation.
