Sorry, I got side-tracked by another Corkill.
Because your thread became very confusing I thought I’d go back to the beginning and try to put it together for you, starting with your first question. You were unsure of the age of your Thomas Cork(h)ill because he gave so many different ones (from 1855 to 1869), but you had found his marriage licence which gave his parents as being James CORKILL & Margret CALLOW from the Isle of Man.
The best source for his age was the one which his mother gave for him in the 1871 census, when she was a widow, shopkeeper, aged 35. She was bapt on 2 July 1837, so she had either just turned 35, or was about to do so. We can assume that her children’s ages were also accurate, and given by her in order of their births.
At the time they were recorded in Ballafayle, Ramsey.

Thomas Corkhill son 6 [His birth was therefore c.1865, Maughold.]
Margt Corkhill daur 3 [Her birth was recorded in Drainie, Moray, Scotland, on 18th Feb 1868.]
In the 1871 census Margaret’s birthplace was given as Lossiemouth, which was a fishing town on the Moray Firth on the north coast of Scotland, so presumably the family were there sometime between 1865 and 1871, and their father James Callow Corkill, mariner (from their marriage cert.), died during those years.
We know he died because his wife was a widow in 1871 and remarried in 1877.

Margaret BREW, ag.42, was buried in Maughold on 1 Jan 1880.
Her husband’s burial possibly Robert BREW 70 yrs. Asylum, Braddan 6 Oct 1911.
Margaret was bapt on 2 Jul 1837 before her parents married, and her parents William CALLOW & Mary CORKILL married in Maughold on 11 Sep 1837. In both 1851 and 1861 censuses she was living with her Corkill grandparents.
Her siblings were Mary bapt.6 Jun 1839; Jane 9 Jan 1842; William 24 Mar 1844; Ann 16 Sep 1846; Elinor 11 Mar 1849; and Rebecca Esther 3 Aug 1851, all bapt in Maughold.

I think he was James Callow eldest son of James Corkill & Cath Corkill bapt 18 Sep 1836. James Corkill & Catherine Corkill married 13 Dec 1834 Maughold. Other children were: Cath bapt 4 Nov 1838; Thomas 14 Feb 1841; David 6 Feb 1843; Mary 10 Aug 1845, all b.Maughold.

Father could be: James son of David Corkill & Mary Callow bapt 24 Feb 1805 Private baptism.
Mother could be: Catharine daur of Thomas Corkill & Margaret Fargher bapt 5 Dec 1802. If so, she was Margaret's aunt, and James Callow Corkill and his wife Margaret Callow were first cousins.
Thomas Corkill 1777-1869 & Margaret Fargher were from a branch of the Ballajora family who had purchased intacks on Dreemskerry Hill (where James & Cath were in the 1841 census). The eldest son John Corkill 1773-1859 had inherited Ballajora farm, and his brothers Patrick 1774-1843 and Thomas 1777-1869 bought the intacks opposite each other. Thomas's son John 1816-1872 married Eleanor Kelly of Lonan and were living next to Thomas & Margaret in censuses.
This Patrick ties up with the other Corkill currently being researched on the BB - one of the possible grandfathers for David Taylor's ancestor who went to New Zealand.
