Hi Kevin,
It certainly seems possible, especially with the "Dick" in his name. This was a nickname given to a branch of the Ballajora Corkill Maughold family, from which Patrick 1774-1843 and Thomas 1777-1869 descended.
The Maughold parish register has these children's bapts for Thomas & Margaret Fargher:
CORKILL Jane [daur of] Thomas Corkill/ Margaret Fargher [bapt] Parish Church 16 Nov 1800
CORKILL Catharine Thomas Corkill/ Margaret Fargher Parish Church 5 Dec 1802
CORKILL Ann Thomas Corkill/ Margaret Fargher Parish Church 6 Dec 1807
CORKILL Mary Thomas Corkill/ Margaret Fargher Parish Church 11 Mar 1810
CORKHILL Thomas Thomas Corkhill/ Margaret Fargher Parish Church 29 Nov 1812
CORKHILL John Thomas Corkhill/ Margaret Fargher Parish Church 4 Feb 1816
[Note the different spellings for Cork(h)ill in the parish register, even for the same family.]
Thomas Corkill & Margaret Kelly married in Maughold on 23 Nov 1834,
Thomas son of Thomas Corkill & Margaret Kelly bapt Parish Church 28 Jul 1839
[their only child found in my Maughold transcripts].
1841 Maughold census [adult ages rounded]:

According to Constance Radcliffe (an expert on Maughold farming families, and IOM social history), there were two Corkill families farming in Ballajora in Maughold, and one family was identified by the nickname "Dick" to distinguish them from the many other Corkill families.
There was John 'Dick' Corkill c.1715-1796 and John 'Juan Dick' 1747-1823. Later descendants from the Ballajora (Dick) family were still known by this name added to their own. She wrote "Corkill Dick was so firmly attached to this family that it was several times used in the burials register, and is sometimes heard colloquially today" [1979].
John 'Juan Dick' 1747-1823 married Margaret CANNELL of Ballaskeally Onchan in 1772, and were the parents of John, Patrick, & Thomas 1777-1869 (plus about 6 other children).
