Evan kaye born 18th September 1853 son of Thomas kaye & Isabella (Watterson). Evan sailed to New Zealand on the Michael Angelo which sailed from London on the 31st October 1874. Arrived in Nelson 22nd January 1875. Information on the passenger ship says that he was 21 years old.

Ages of Issue - 7 years & 11 months, their names were Elizabeth Isabel Kaye & Maria Beatrice Kaye.They did have another child but she died - her name was Mary Francis Kaye. Mary was born in 1892 and died in 1896.
Evan kaye and his daughter are both buried in the old Orowaiti Cemetery. I do have further information if is anyone is interested.
