Our knowledge of the linkage between all the children of the original couple is excellent because my GGG-F William K. wrote a fabulous newsy letter to his youngest brother James in NZ in 1885 giving a tiny bit of news on each one, just enough to prove the connections.
Even better, the NZ branch treasured it and sent copies back in due course.
