thank you and your friend for confirming the info i have. i appreciate the the work you have done for me.
i find it difficult to accept John,1852, is the son of Jane Corkill as i have found a John, born to Elizabeth and John Wade in Peel in 1852.-7010314.
unfortunately the only marriages i have been able to find for these two names appear to be in 1822 & 1825 which does not clarify anything.
am tempted to think it more likely the mother of my John could be any one of the following-
Ann Elizabeth Wade bn 1827
Frances Wade bn. 1832
Jane Wade bn. 1834
perhaps the parents took care of the child.
will take your advice and look for Margaret Lewis.
