thanks for the time and trouble you have takento try to sort out this family.
the info you give i already have but some of the pieces seem to fit but not others. i am getting quite confused.
the 1881 liverpool census and also later ones state john edwin wade was born in ramsey IOM.
his marriage cert. to mary ann harris states his father was also john edwin wade, butcher.
in 1871 i have john edwin wade jnr. bn. 1852 IOM living at
190 wellington rd. Toxteth Park, Liverpool, with his aunt catherine lewis bn. 1832 IOM, her daughter, margaret, bn liverpool 1869 and james lace bn.1850 IOM , her nephew.
as you can see until i find the parents of john jnr i am at a dead end. do you think he could have been an illegitimate child of perhaps Frances or Jane Wade?
