John senr refers to son John Junior but never gives any relationship between himself and neighbour Wm Howland - I think getting my cd with summary of the several deeds + earlier marr contracts might help - a Wm Howland appears to have occupied the ground for more years than a putative son of John - I wonder if they were cousins

there is a will in Andreas for a Wm Howland in 1833 - he was noted as aged 59 at burial tho I have him as married to Leonora fargher who appears to be a widow in Bride in 1841 with son wm bapt 1823 so almost certainly not yours

the only wm howland bapt in 1812-14 I have note of seems to be illeg c/o charles howland + margt moore
