The book "Andreas" [edited by Sally McCambridge, from the work of Donald Dugdale, 2005] has a small amount about "Howland's Leodest (nothing remains)" saying that William and Mary Howland married in 1835 and had their children there... They eventually retired to Bayr ny h'Ayrey and the Cormodes of East Leodest then farmed the thirty acres of Howland's Leodest. The roadside house, fifty yards west of West Ballacunner house was subsequently demolished. "Farm buildings behind the house included a large stone-built barn which stood thirty yards inside the gateway and was still here in 1970. It has since been dismantled."
