the bunch of 5 deeds in Andreas involving John Howland are dated from 1828 when a John Howland + wife Judith sell their part of Close sayle to John Christian - this parcel was bounded by Wm Howland on north, Christian sells it back to a John Howland in 1838;
Also in 1838 there is an agreement between John H senr + son John H junr re division of land; in 1841 John H senr sells to my son John H junr a parcel of land westward of highway bounded on north by Wm Howland (note in neither of these is wife of John H senr mentioned); in 1845 John H senr + wife Jane als collins sell a parcel of qtrland of the Dhowin to my son John H junr bounded on west by Wm Howland
(full summaries will be on my cd)
thus no named relationship between Wm and John senr or junr tho they are neighbours - also looks as tho John senr had remarried
There are no other deeds involving Wm in this period
but there is a deed of 1812 wch notes that Margt H als joughin sold to son John Howland but now her son + heir Wm threatens to sue to for it - John quit claims part of land returning it to Wm
(the complicated dealings of Andreas farmers!)
