Looking for a baptism for Henry Teare, the 10 yr old son in Thomas Teare and Eliz Christian’s 1851 household--- born prior to their marriage. Here’s a suggestion, since there doesn’t appear to be a baptism for a Henry in the right time frame:
***************
Name John Christian
Gender Male
Christening Date 19 Dec 1841
Christening Place BRIDE,ISLE OF MAN,ENGLAND
Mother's Name Eliz Christian
*******
The Henry C Teare age 58 in the Stevens, Minnesota 1900 census (farmer, with wife Sophia 52, married 19 years) gave his birth date as October 1841. The middle initial C could be Christian.
So this could be the same person, an illegitimate son of Elizabeth Christian born 3 months prior to Elizabeth’s marriage to Thomas Teare in Jan 1842 ----- perhaps the forename entered wrongly in the register ? There again, it could be a completely different Eliz Christian so not relevant.
The other witness at Thos and Eliz’s 1842 marriage (which you couldn’t make out) was Jephtha Kneale. Later that year he married a Cath Teare (related to Thomas, maybe a sister ?) in Bride.
One correction I’d make to your 7-04am 19 Aug message, David, is the list of census entries which are all 10 years out --- so the “1841 census” should say 1851 census etc. Sorry to be a nitpicker !
