I was interested to see that Esther Hannah Quine’s sister Elizabeth was the Elizabeth Quine who married John Edward Crye. John Edward was a brother of Thomas Crye bap 20 Jun 1841 Lezayre ---this Thomas’s first wife was Catherine Clague b 1844, a sister of my great grandmother Alice. His second wife was Elizabeth Kneen b 1848, a sister of my great grandfather Thomas. They married in 1871, emigrated to New York and then Ohio,had 4 children and returned to Liverpool in 1880. Elizabeth died soon after. Thomas Crye and the children were very close to the Costain family at Blundellsands. Richard Costain’s wife Margaret nee Kneen was Thomas Crye’s sister in law.
