Nigel, I do still wonder whether there was some (paternal ?) opposition to the marriage of Esther Hannah Quine and Thomas Cannell----their firstborn son, Edward Clague Cannell, was baptised over a year prior to the Nov 1884 marriage. Why would they have waited so long ?
