I haven't seen or heard any suggestion as to gr-gr-aunt Esther having a child before marriage, seems unlikely scenario, with her living as a spinster in the next farm up the valley while the Cannells bring up the child. I take it you have checked St. Luke's baptisms for a baptism of a child to one of the older girls in the Ballawillyn family.,
