Found a little more on this. Richard Shimmin left Croit ny Harra to his children Richard Shimmin Junr and John Shimmin, Leonora Curphey, Eleanor Radcliffe and Ann Caghedy in his Will 1857 but only after the decease of his wife Ann Callister. But wife Ann didn't die until 1869 for the purpose of Woods Atlas maybe the owner of Croit ny Harra was all 5 children and Ann?
What do the 'Particles' mean ? Are 'Particles' mentioned in any of the other parishes?
The Claddagh was originally to be sold to the Duke of Atholl [Richard Shimin to Duke of Atholl - Oct 1822 Patrick] was this also part of the particles and how likely is it to be connected to the Shimmins in this Will 1739-1 A 16 SHIMIN Thomas d 28 feb 1738;claddagh booy;dau mary;son silvester, john exor?
Or did the Claddaghs cover a large area and would not necessarily be the same Shimins ??
