Richard Shimmin, youngest son of William Shimmin and Christian Quine, bap 20th Jan 1782 Patrick after his father had been drowned 6 Nov 1781, sold land known as the Claddagh in Kk Patrick to the Duke of Atholl in Oct 1822 with consent of his wife Ann Callister.

Just wondered if anyone knows where about this would be. I've found a John Shimmin married to Margaret Ellison in 1706 but the Claddagh referred to there is in German [riverside of the Neb just outside Peel]. I'm trying to work out which of the Shimmin families they belong to.
Certainly Richard also held property near Ballaspet but I still haven't found out if this was Croit ny Harra or not or if there was a connection.

Was the Claddagh the same area but on opposite sides of the river and in different parishes?
Anyone with any interest or info about this please ?
