do you have a copy of the deed - if so does it quote a rent (these are often key tofinding it - also whether intack or quarterland - tho I expect curragh to be intack - I can't find any Shimmin ownining suitable land in 18th C lib assed (the Shimmins were up in hills eg Archgellan + share in the large SleuWhallen intack) but there were two 1821 deeds of settlement by Quines to a Thos Shimmin maybe he married into that fam then sold part of land
