Revd John Dumbell's death cert could be very helpful if it has details of his parents and father's occupation (which it should do in 1923), and is certainly worth getting. The marriage cert is usually far more reliable because the couple themselves provided the information, but a death cert can also be very useful if filled in by someone who knew the answers and wasn't guessing.

Don't forget to ask for an uncertified photocopy of the entry! (I think they now call it a printout.) Mistakes may be made on certified transcripts, and additionally they are more expensive.
